Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Lingroove, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of service

Lingroove is a language-learning tool that allows you to import song lyrics and movie subtitles, extract vocabulary using NLP, organise content into playlists, and create spaced-repetition flashcard decks.

3. Your account

• You must provide a valid email address and choose a unique username.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You may not share your account or create accounts for others without their consent.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Lingroove.

4. Third-party content and copyright

Lingroove allows you to import lyrics, subtitles, and other text for personal language-learning purposes. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of any third-party content complies with applicable copyright law and the terms of the source platform.

Lingroove does not host, store, or distribute copyrighted content beyond what is necessary to provide the vocabulary-extraction and study features. Movie and TV metadata is provided by TMDB. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any content platform.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Lingroove for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' private data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the service
• Impersonate another person or entity

6. Public content

When you make a playlist public, other Lingroove users can view and save it. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant Lingroove a licence to display it within the service.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Lingroove Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are displayed in USD on the pricing page.

• New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Your card is required to start but you will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel any time before day 8 and no payment will be taken.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
• Refunds are handled case-by-case. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe a refund is warranted.
• Free-tier limits apply to playlists and decks as a total cap. If you downgrade from Pro, items beyond the free-tier cap are locked (not deleted) until you resubscribe.

9. Disclaimers

Lingroove is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of vocabulary translations, conjugations, or any NLP output. Use your own judgement when studying.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lingroove and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete account, or by contacting us.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. The updated date at the top of the page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of Lingroove after changes constitutes acceptance.
